Help
If you've had a problem with this service, please try the questions below in order to resolve the problem!
Q) Why can't I download properly
A) Unfortunately, the problem arises because of the way internet explorer handles files when they are sent with .mp3 at the end of the file - the default setting is to try to play them without asking if you want to download.
If you have a problem downloading songs from our site and they want to play before asking if you want to save or open the file then you need to change your settings.
To change your PC settings go to start at the bottom of your Computer. Go to My Computer, Tools, Folder options, File types and find MP3. Click it , then click 'Advanced' and chose 'Confirm open after download. That should then ask you whether you want to download the file or save it when you click for download.
Media players such as Quicktime and Real player can complicate matters further as they can sometimes by pass these settings and try to play the MP3s before it gets a chance to be saved. We recomend you use Windows Media Player Series 10. You can download this for free at www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/
Q) What are the system requirements for this music service?
A) PC requirements:You must have a PC running Windows 98 or above with Windows Media Player 7 or above. We recommend Windows XP and Windows Media Player 10.
Mac requirements: Mac OSX and iTunes 4 or above
Q) What quality are the downloads?
A) The downloads are Windows Media Audio 9 Series encoded at 192kbps and AAC and MP3 formats encoded at 192kbps. These are virtually indistinguishable from CD-quality audio.
Q) What does "License Acquisition" mean?
A) When you purchase a track, our system will issue you a personal license enabling you to play the track on your computer as well as burn the track to CD and transfer to a compatible portable music player.
Q) What is DRM?
A) DRM stands for Digital Rights Management and is a technology that can help protect the copyright of artists and record labels by helping prevent illegal and unauthorised copying. Customers who buy tracks from this service can make personal CD copies of all tracks purchased and also transfer to their portable music players.
Q) Will these downloads work on a Mac?
A) Only on selected tracks, if you select the AAC or MP3 formats from your Download menu (i.e. after purchase), these will work on a Mac and be compatible with iTunes and iPod.
