What is The Midnight Shift you might ask? Well, the only way I can describe it is to say! C&H, Curtis & Hodges, Lee & Bernie, in a nutshell, Lee Curtis and Bernie Hodges, two of the most extremely talented musicians I have ever had the pleasure to be associated with.
For three decades Lee & Bernie have collaborated together, producing and recording an overwhelming array of original songs, with influences from Rock & Roll, 60s sounds, Tamla Motown to R&B.
Bernie being heavily influenced by such artist as, Django Reinhart, Chet Atkins and the Late Great, Buddy Holly.
In Lee's own words. "I was so influenced by Scott Walker for his wonderful voice. Mickey Newbury for the way he could capture someone just with his voice and an acoustic guitar, I loved the way he mixed his albums too! Tamla Motown got it’s grip on me in the early 60’s and when Little Stevie Wonder released ‘Fingertips’ Part 2, I just cracked at that point, you couldn't get me to talk about any other artist. He’s just got it".
